Hamely’s attention to detail and regular communication on how the project was developing was amazing. Hamely took onboard any feedback and I was so pleased with the result, and so was my wife who the gift was for. Highly recommend, a fantastic artist!!

Wow! Hamley completed an amazing project for my wifes 40th. I didn't have a proper image, just a few references, and she created something unique and exactly what I was after. Having tried various avenues and struggling, hamley was the only artist who got it spot on. Communication was amazing throughout and the work was delivered early as she was so keen to help. Thank you so much for an amazing gift!

I threw Hamley a curveball and had him draw someone close to me for a Christmas present. He added such excellent level of detail and was very communicative with what he had questions about and that made all the difference. He is really easy to work with and jumps at the opportunity to try something new. If you get a chance to work with him you should!

About
If you look around you now, you will see words and symbols, and not everyone can use both effectively. Using my artistic skills to help people express themselves is what I find rewarding. If you can put it into words, I can paint the picture - or the portrait. Or design the illustration you need for your project, or inspire an audience by sketching a performance live before their eyes, or fill your window with a temporary whitewash that doubles as art.

Pick me for these projects! :-

Sketching performances in front of a live audience is such a great thing to do, I enjoy the music and engage with it via the drawing process and the audience witness a blank sheet of A3 paper being transformed into the scene they have just seen - using only pencils. Magic! My portraiture work is hand-painted in acrylic on linen board, everything passes through my own lense to become colourful interpretations of the reference photos with a strong sense of composition and volume that bring the subject to life. Everyone sees the people they love differently so I keep you updated throughout the process to make those little tweeks that make all the difference to the final piece. Illustrations require a good dialogue between artist and client, so my process includes 2 rough drafts and the opportunity to modify the final piece before the artwork is sent in its digital form.

I'll sit these ones out :-

Copying another artist’s work - unless it’s Van Gogh,   or Goya,   or Magritte! If it’s a living artist and you love their work,   invest directly in them at whatever level you can.
