Farringdon, Spring Dawn by Hamley Jenkins in London

Farringdon, Spring Dawn

This piece is from a series of paintings featuring the same view in different weather at different times of the day and seen from the window of a temporary studio in the very heart of London occupied during Covid - you can see St Paul’s Cathedral in the distance. This version is painted in a looser style and includes the tree breaking into blossom in the foreground, light catching the rooftops and the glow of dawn behind broken clouds as they evaporate in the sunlight. Sold in the custom made timber tray frame shown in the main image.
