EMOM at the Crypt Ramon

Jazz club Jazz Live at the Crypt in South London have a really open minded approach to music genres and as their artist in residence I get to enjoy a huge range of musical performances - and sketch them too. Once a month they have an Electronic Music Open Mic night and each performer is on stage for only 10 minutes to allow more people to have a go, so for speed I elect to draw in ink on A4 paper. There's no room for error! You can't erase a mark once it's placed however I often capture a good likeness that amazes the performers, who rarely notice that someone is sketching them.
