One of my few remaining nocturnes, this painting features Bawdsey, a small riverside village in Suffolk, as dawn approaches.
I wanted to capture the extraordinary stillness of the village before daybreak, one streetlight and one porch light reflecting in the water that has the smoothness only possible on a windless night.
This painting is on a deep edge canvas and is consequently sold unframed.
