I commissioned Deborah to create illustration work for an ongoing multi-book series. Over several months, she shared some early draft sketches and one map, but no final illustrations or completed materials were ever delivered, save for the map. Throughout the project, Deborah requested repeated extensions due to various personal circumstances—including caring for pets, helping her sister, family health issues, and severe weather disruptions. I accommodated every delay, and she consistently reassured me that she intended to continue. In early December 2025, she returned and stated that she was ready to resume the project. However, after that message, communication stopped entirely. My follow-up messages remain unanswered within the platform, and no further progress was made. As of early 2026, the project has been inactive for over a month with no response. Given the prolonged delays, lack of final output, and complete loss of communication after reaffirming her commitment, I cannot recommend Deborah for projects that require reliability, consistent communication, or timely completion.

I commissioned Iverson to illustrate three books for an ongoing series. He completed the first book, and the quality of that artwork met expectations. However, he was unable to complete the remaining two books due to recurring schedule conflicts. When delays continued, I initiated a refund. At that point, Iverson asked me to withdraw the request, assuring me he would finish the project. I agreed, and we set new expectations. After that, however, he was not able to provide concrete timelines, and no further progress was made. Several months later, he informed me that he no longer had access to a computer and could not continue. By then, full payment for all three books had already been released. In summary: Iverson is talented, but clients with multi-stage projects or fixed timelines should be aware that his availability may shift, and commitments may not be sustained long-term. My experience was mixed—good work on the portion completed, but the overall project remained unfinished.
