Royal Albert Hall Merton Music Foundation by Hamley Jenkins in London

Royal Albert Hall Merton Music Foundation

I was invited to sketch at a performance in the Royal Albert Hall by the young people of the Merton Music Foundation, a charity that supports young people in music education. In this composite A3 drawing on grey paper all 3 conductors have been captured as they each stood up to do their part, and the charity's mascot, a sizeable stuffed bear, is featured on a stool, the only participant to look out of the composition directly at the viewer. I really enjoyed capturing the scale of the place.
