Passage of Time

This piece is a work from my sustained investigation on the idea of nostalgia in my AP art class. It was painted in old acrylic paint to ensure a timeless and painterly feel. I wanted to paint an antique, so I found this carousel snow globe which was the perfect choice as it displays the passing of time in a childlike way. This piece won a gold key in the Scholastic Art Awards in 2024!
