This piece is another from my sustained investigation on nostalgia for my AP art class. This is an acrylic painting with a shimmery dragonfly glaze that portrays my niece in her youth being held in a pool. This to me is the epitome of childhood, and so I wanted to show that by glazing over the vibrant colors with a sparkly glaze.

Chicago, United StatesI am a college student currently studying Music Ed at Olivet Nazarene University. Previously studying Studio Art, I have taken college level courses for art throughout high school gaining awards for my pieces in events such as the Scholastic Art Awards and a finalist position in a local Fine Arts Showcase. I have a love of all things color, and enjoy excelling in all types of mediums, as I am a lover of learning! You will notice a lot of my portfolio pieces reside from my AP Portfolio, where I themed it on nostalgia and the use of color to demonstrate the emotion.
