Kaileigh Macrae

My name is Kaileigh. I'm a Canadian digital artist and illustrator based in London, England. Art _______________________ I create bold and vibrant illustrations seeped in positivity with a mild dose of surrealism and maximalism. Last year, I left my job in interior design to rediscover my passion for art and become an independent creative. My work is strongly influence by this transition and explores my emotion states of navigating a new life path. I playfully address themes of mental health, anxiety, transformation, and growth. My art aims to be relatable, vulnerable, honest and upbeat. With imagery, I expose my inner voice and insecurities to encourage self care, connection and authenticity in others. Background + Experience _______________________ I have a BFA in Drawing and Painting from Concordia University. I'm also a certified Interior designer through the New York Institute of Art and Design. I've been classically trained in visual artists from a young age and have a strong understanding of colour, form, perspective and anatomy. I've worked in a multitude of creative industries including textile manufacturing, fashion, graphic and interior design. I've explored performance, videography, installation and print medias.
