Fish for Thought by Kaileigh Macrae in London

My mind is swimming (with creativity.. & apparently goldfish). Finding your artistic voice can be a struggle and sharing it can be intimidating. It’s an intimate experience to display your creative work publicly (at least for me). You open yourself up to peoples’ comments, opinions and reviews. My fear of judgment and the desire to be “liked” became a cage I couldn’t escape. Instead I lived in these insecurities, let it cloud my style and block my creativity. Only recently, when I started producing art for myself did the creative floodgates open. By letting go of those external concerns and gratification, I gained the freedom and space to grow as an artist and test new waters. So basically, f*ck what people think, make art for yourself and be the goldfish that escaped its bowl. Tried to bring that full circle - did it work? 🧐 Digital Illustration | Procreate | 2023
