Exceso Cafe - Abstract Leaf Mural

I painted this mural for Excelso Café, a local coffee spot and roastery right here in Tauranga. The Excelso interior already has a warm, creative atmosphere, and the goal was to create an artwork that feels organic and tie the mural into their existing space. Working closely with an interior designer and the cafe owner, the team really liked one of my art prints on my website, so we pulled elements from my previous work. Colourwise, we wanted to tone back all those warm tones in the cafe, so, I pulled in a bunch of fun green tones with some touches of earthy tones that balance everything out. It’s got all the warm and inviting vibes that make you want to sit down, have a coffee, and accidentally stay way past your allocated lunch break. Massive thanks to Excelso for trusting me with this piece.
