About 13 years ago I requested one of my favorite pieces of artwork, The Old Guitarist by Picasso done in Hugo’s style, and Hugo did not disappoint. My only regret is that I did not request an original, particularly a piece from his cigar series. His esthetic evokes for me the beauty of melancholy, resilience, and grit. It encourages me to see struggle as a labor of love rather than something to dread. Lately his work has included wonderful use of color and I’m hopeful that soon I’ll be in the market for another piece.

We commissioned Sindy to paint a Media Wall LIVE at the Opera House at an exclusive red carpet event using Sharpie Creative Markers.
