I am an artist-educator, Ontario Certified Teacher, and professional visual artist based in Oakville, Ontario. My practice centers on large-scale figurative oil painting on custom-toned grounds, exploring themes of portraiture, family bonds, identity, and memory. In 2026, I was honored with the Mississauga Arts Award (MARTY) for Emerging Visual Artist in Traditional Arts, and my work has been recognized internationally through the Global Undergraduate Awards. What Inspires Me & My Process My work is deeply rooted in human connection, relational history, and the emotional resonance of shared spaces. I build custom grey grounds for my canvases, layering oil paint to capture candid, unposed portraiture that highlights subtle body language, vulnerability, and intergenerational ties. I am inspired by the quiet strength found in everyday mentorship, family dynamics, and the personal stories that connect us all. Skills & Expertise Specialization: Large-scale figurative oil painting, custom canvas preparation, and classical/contemporary glazing techniques. Versatility: Skilled across diverse mediums including drawing, clay, and mixed media for custom commissions. Qualifications/Positions:

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed): Primary/Junior Division with a concentration in Artist in Community Education (2025).
Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours (BFAH): Fine Arts Major Honours with a History Minor (2024). Dean's Honour List with Distinction (3.8+ GPA across all academic years).

OCT Certified Teacher: Ontario Certified Teacher specializing in visual arts and primary/junior education,   with experience across Catholic,   private,   and community school boards.
Resident Artist,   Visual Arts Mississauga (2025–2026): Led community engagement initiatives,   delivered creative learning programs,   and served as Curator & Juror for the Shifting Forms exhibition (2026).

International & Upcoming Residencies: Active residency practice,   including upcoming research and residency work in Japan exploring traditional and contemporary studio techniques.

Community Arts Leader & Educator: DEI Committee Member for the DPCDSB,   experienced studio instructor across painting,   ceramics,   and drawing,   set designer,   and Royal Conservatory of Music (Grade 8 Piano) certified.
