True Colours

During a meditation, my spirit animal came to me and said: "Remember who you are. Look inside yourself, you are more than what you have become"... so I had to paint it!! Yes, this is a quote from the Lion King, but it is through music, movies and the likes, that I get these types of messages for myself or others. I also name my paintings after songs for the above reason, and either the song will come on at the perfect time and will just resonate with me, or it comes to me randomly when I am thinking about my painting. This painting is no different...so here is "True Colours" “…But I see your true colors Shining through I see your true colors And that's why I love you So don't be afraid to let them show Your true colors True colors are beautiful Like a rainbow…” "Remember who you are"... we all need to be true to ourselves and show our 'true colours' that we tend to suppress to fit into the 'mainstream'! This painting is full of beautiful colours and textures. This work is painted on a gallery wrapped canvas and has been sealed with varnish, comes ready to hang and with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Kerry is an emerging, self-taught acrylic artist born and living all of her life in Perth, Western Australia, until her move to Darwin in the Northern Territory in January 2020. She is inspired by nature, spirit, life, music and lyrics and just like her music tastes, her artistic style, techniques and themes are very eclectic. Kerry's ‘inspired art from the heart’ covers a variety of themes which encapsulates her raw uniqueness and spiritual energy as she creates vibrant paintings of the beauty found in the details of her life. Kerry has a love of painting and creating and wants to share this with others to help inspire, heal, motivate or whatever emotion her paintings evoke, allowing the viewer to experience their own connection with the artwork. After years of searching for that one passion to ignite her soul and give her an outlet from her everyday life, Kerry discovered acrylic painting, and she has never looked back! She also realised from her own life experiences, that many other people have been, or are in a similar circumstances and don't know where to start to find theirs. So, after 7 years of following this passion of creativity and exploring all that comes with it, (the good, the bad, the ugly and the amazing), and now living this daily within her art business, Kerry has created her very first ‘Pure Imagination’ Painting Funshop, so you too can FREE YOUR MIND and find your unique voice!
