This is it Your Soul

'This is it (Your Soul)' During a meditation I received a symbol. As it turned out, I discovered this is an actual symbol, and not just something I made up! It is in fact a Unalome. It comes from Buddhism and is symbolic of the path to enlightenment. The spirals represent the beginning of consciousness, while the twists and turns stand for the different experiences that a person incurs on their way to reaching enlightenment. The lotus flower represents rising and blooming above the murk and the purifying of the spirit to also achieve enlightenment. My painting is named after the Hothouse Flowers song of the same name. "...And all you really need is a healing sound But just listen to the waters Find the answer on the street Because now it's time to listen, now it's time to meet Your soul, now this is it It's time to meet your soul Your crying soul This is your soul Set free your soul This is it, set it free, let the light inside Shine from the inside out 🌟🌟 Oh let the light inside shine From the inside out…” As it is embellished with gorgeous golf leaf, it is quite difficult to photograph. This work is painted on a gallery wrapped canvas and has been sealed with varnish, comes ready to hang and with a Certificate of Authenticity. 12" x 16" 30.5cm x 40.6cm

Kerry is an emerging, self-taught acrylic artist born and living all of her life in Perth, Western Australia, until her move to Darwin in the Northern Territory in January 2020. She is inspired by nature, spirit, life, music and lyrics and just like her music tastes, her artistic style, techniques and themes are very eclectic. Kerry's ‘inspired art from the heart’ covers a variety of themes which encapsulates her raw uniqueness and spiritual energy as she creates vibrant paintings of the beauty found in the details of her life.
