I had the opportunity to create the promotional video for O CASTELO, a distinctive lounge bar located in Faro’s historic old town, offering breathtaking views of the Ria Formosa. The venue blends multiple experiences: from tranquil drinks at the bar and fine dining at the restaurant to vibrant nights at the club and memorable performances. Known for its lively outdoor summer parties and authentic fado evenings, O CASTELO is a must-visit destination to enjoy what it calls “the best sunset in the world.”
For this project, I was responsible for:
Creative concept development, crafting a narrative that encapsulates O CASTELO’s unique atmosphere.
Production and direction, ensuring every aspect of the shoot reflected the venue's multifaceted appeal.
Cinematography, including stunning aerial footage captured with drone technology to highlight the venue's panoramic views.
Editing and Post-Production, refining visuals and sound to produce a polished and engaging promotional piece.
Collaboration with writers and voice talent, overseeing the creation of the voice-over text and selecting both the voice actor and soundtrack to enhance the storytelling.
This video was designed to position O CASTELO as a premier destination for both locals and tourists, celebrating its cultural richness, vibrant nightlife, and natural beauty.
This project showcases my expertise in promotional video production, cinematography, and post-production, with a focus on creating compelling visual content that elevates brands and destinations.

I’m Diogo, a Portuguese independent filmmaker, producer, director, cinematographer (DoP), and videographer based in Lisbon.
With over 20 years of experience, I work with national and international brands, production companies, agencies, and independent artists across corporate films, advertising, documentaries, music videos, promotional content, interviews, and event productions.
Depending on the scale and requirements of each project, I can work independently or assemble a tailored team of experienced film professionals and creatives.
I provide access to professional production equipment, specialist crew, and studio facilities in Lisbon, Porto, and the Algarve. My extensive knowledge of Portugal’s locations, landscapes, architecture, and production environment also allows me to support international clients filming throughout the country.
