I collaborated with Malagasy singer-songwriter D-Lain to create the official music video for his single "Tamana", a heartfelt love song where the protagonist reassures his lover of her unique place in his life, asking her to trust their bond. Filmed in Lisbon, Portugal, the title Tamana translates to "get used to," reflecting the song’s emotional depth and romantic themes.
For this project, I was responsible for:
Pre-production and location scouting, selecting iconic and visually compelling sites in Lisbon to bring the narrative to life.
Direction and cinematography, using dynamic techniques, including drone footage, to capture the video’s emotional and visual richness.
Editing and post-production, refining visuals with precise editing, color grading, and seamless integration of sound for a polished final product.
The music video features a captivating dance performance by Irina Leite Velho, adding an extra layer of expression to the song’s message.
This project demonstrates my expertise in music video production, from conceptualization to delivery, creating visually stunning and emotionally resonant pieces that complement the artist’s vision.

I’m Diogo, a Portuguese independent filmmaker, producer, director, cinematographer (DoP), and videographer based in Lisbon.

My extensive knowledge of Portugal’s locations, landscapes, architecture, and production environment also allows me to support international clients filming throughout the country.
