The Riba-roja Dream Tree

Acrylic on wood panels and wall, 2 x 2.5m. Installed during the Riu d’art Residency in Riba-roja d’Ebre, Spain, June 2018. More info: http://www.riudart.cat/en/artistes/maryann-loo/ This mural is a celebration of the various aspects of this village that I’ve seen, experienced and learnt about during the two-week residency in Riba-roja d’Ebre, Spain. From juniper ovens, to the independence of Catalunya, to siestas and fiestas, to the various artists who have made their mark - past, present, and more in the years to come.
