The Keong Saik Dream Tree

Acrylic on tiles and wall, 2 x 2.5m. Painted on an external wall at 1 Keong Saik Rd, Singapore, April 2019. This mural is a celebration of the various aspects of the neighborhood along Keong Saik Rd, an iconic area in Singapore’s Chinatown that used to be a red-light district and one of the “turfs” operated by a secret society. Its historical buildings have been preserved and now house boutique hotels, coffee shops, bars, and The Working Capitol, one of Singapore’s first co-working spaces. This mural was created with the support of The Working Capitol and the National Arts Council and Arts Fund. Watch my process video on YouTube: https://youtu.be/SejVBxRZ6-4
