In 2021, I was commissioned by Vistaprint to create a pair of custom Air Jordan 35s for NBA All-Star Kemba Walker as part of a capsule collection celebrating and supporting Black-owned small businesses in New England.
The design features hand-painted details that transform the performance sneaker into a storytelling canvas. Reflective of Walker’s deep ties to community, the artwork highlights logos and imagery from his favorite local Black-owned businesses, layered with graffiti-inspired techniques and bold color blocking in red, silver, and white.
These custom sneakers were unveiled during the Power Forward Small Business Grant Program, an initiative created by Vistaprint, the Boston Celtics, and the NAACP to uplift and invest in Black entrepreneurs. More than footwear, this project merged sports, culture, and art — turning a player’s on-court gear into a platform for visibility, representation, and empowerment.

Boston, United StatesLee, is a multidisciplinary artist based in Boston, Massachusetts. With over 20 years of professional experience, he has built a reputation for creating impactful, high-quality visual works that engage and inspire.
A graduate of The Boston Arts Academy, Lee’s journey began in Boston’s graffiti scene of the early 2000s, evolving into a career that bridges fine art, public space, and design. His portfolio includes large-scale murals, custom lettering, graphic illustration, brand development, and stage and prop design. Known for his precision and artistry, he has collaborated with businesses, institutions, and community organizations to create work that is both visually striking and deeply meaningful.
As a proud member of AOA, ALA, and GN Crew, Lee has contributed to shaping Boston’s urban landscape with original public art installations, reinforcing his belief that art is a unifying force—bringing people, cultures, and ideas together. Whether working with corporate partners, private clients, or local communities, he approaches each project with professionalism, creativity, and a commitment to excellence.
