This mural is a collaboration between Lee “SOEMS” Beard and Rob “ProBlak” Gibbs, blending graffiti lettering and character illustration into one striking composition. On the left, SOEMS’ intricate letterform style dominates the wall with sharp edges, dimensional layering, and a galactic backdrop that pulses with energy. The lettering is at once abstract and precise, rooted in the lineage of graffiti while pushing its visual language forward.
Balancing this, ProBlak’s character on the right radiates personality and culture. The figure — bold, playful, and larger than life — holds a sneaker like a prized artifact, bridging hip-hop aesthetics with community storytelling. The moonlit background ties the two elements together, transforming the wall into a stage where style, humor, and identity coexist.
Together, the work highlights the dialogue between letterforms and characters, two of graffiti’s foundational building blocks, while showcasing the synergy of two Boston artists shaping a visual legacy in their city.

Boston, United StatesLee, is a multidisciplinary artist based in Boston, Massachusetts. With over 20 years of professional experience, he has built a reputation for creating impactful, high-quality visual works that engage and inspire.
A graduate of The Boston Arts Academy, Lee’s journey began in Boston’s graffiti scene of the early 2000s, evolving into a career that bridges fine art, public space, and design. His portfolio includes large-scale murals, custom lettering, graphic illustration, brand development, and stage and prop design. Known for his precision and artistry, he has collaborated with businesses, institutions, and community organizations to create work that is both visually striking and deeply meaningful.
As a proud member of AOA, ALA, and GN Crew, Lee has contributed to shaping Boston’s urban landscape with original public art installations, reinforcing his belief that art is a unifying force—bringing people, cultures, and ideas together. Whether working with corporate partners, private clients, or local communities, he approaches each project with professionalism, creativity, and a commitment to excellence.
