This painting is made from ink on stretched canvas that had been covered in a newspaper paper mache. The element I am most proud of is the fact that it is an upcycled piece and the humor from the newspaper being made of actual newspaper strips adds to the creativity.

Kirkland, United StatesQuil, a 30-year-old artist and teacher, finds inspiration in the color purple. Her greatest creation, is her tiny doppelganger, a cool dude who shares her passion for creativity. Quil dabbles in ceramics, writing, collage, interior design, color theory, painting, digital design, and more. She believes that success means always creating new things out of old material. She lives by the notion that every experience is a potential spark of knowledge or inspiration—even setbacks can lead to new ideas and opportunities.
