This painting is made from acrylic paint on watercolor paper. It was inspired by the iconic Rosie the Riveter posters during World War II aimed at boosting morale among female factory workers. My interpretation is a woman with a no nonsense attitude who isn't afraid to push the boundaries in order to create change in the world. The element I am most proud of is her little snarling mouth!

Meet the Artist
Renton, United StatesQuil, a 30-year-old artist and teacher, finds inspiration in the color purple. Her greatest creation, is her tiny doppelganger, a cool dude who shares her passion for creativity. Quil dabbles in ceramics, writing, collage, interior design, color theory, painting, digital design, and more. She believes that success means always creating new things out of old material. She lives by the notion that every experience is a potential spark of knowledge or inspiration—even setbacks can lead to new ideas and opportunities.
