This piece is made with acrylic paint on Stretched canvas. It is inspired by a black and white image of a model featured in Coco Chanel's magazine. The element I am most proud of is the way I captured the face of the sculpture in the models hands in such a way that you can tell it isn't human.

Kirkland, United StatesQuil, a 30-year-old artist and teacher, finds inspiration in the color purple. Her greatest creation, is her tiny doppelganger, a cool dude who shares her passion for creativity. Quil dabbles in ceramics, writing, collage, interior design, color theory, painting, digital design, and more. She believes that success means always creating new things out of old material. She lives by the notion that every experience is a potential spark of knowledge or inspiration—even setbacks can lead to new ideas and opportunities.
