Words are pretty magical. A single word can fill our imagination and make our bodies tingle with sensation. An intricate dance of tongues, spilling our stories, from one mind to the next.
There’s biological factors too, for instance, did you know we use the same facial muscles to say certain words (like moist) as we do to show disgust? 20% of the population has a serious aversion to the word 'moist,' too.

Burnaby, CanadaAllison is an illustrator, crafter and all round curious cat who is always trying to learn new tricks. Her practice draws on her culture, current issues and this contemporary moment. Through a variety of mediums - from bath bombs, installations to pattern-making, she explores her poetic sensibilities in many forms and dances between the imagined and lived realms of existence.
