Shauna is a fantastic artist and great to work with. She told us exactly what materials were needed and the timescale on the project. It was completed to a high standard and has truly brightened up our office. Very willing to adjust designs based on our preference and had many artistic ideas which once implemented, brought our vision to life. Highly recommend Shauna and her work and we will definitely be using her for any similar projects we have in the future.

I really enjoyed working with Shauna, we chose her based not just on her skills but also on her values, which aligned with ours. This was very important as it was a project with the community benefits at its core. She demonstrated professionalism during all the phases and our work was very collaborative, with both of us helping each other. The final result was great and translated well our objectives. We hired Shauna to do a mural in a very large (7.5m high) communal space in our school. We gave her a rough brief of what we were hoping to achieve with the mural, and with very little direction from us she seemed to know exactly where to take it. The design Shauna came up with was inclusive, innovative, powerful, everything we were hoping to portray through the artwork. Shauna was a joy to work with, so accommodating throughout the whole process. She met with our students to take their ideas on board and worked tirelessly to meet a very tight deadline. She was happy to hear our thoughts throughout the process and the final result was more than we could have imagined. We would have no hesitation in recommending her and would be delighted to have her back for future projects.

About
Irish muralist, portraitist & street artist, based in New Cross, Southeast London. Shauna’s visual arts practice is grounded in figuration and reflects how self-definition is informed by place. She is interested in questions of unreliable memories, collective social identity, and inter-dependence. She has recently begun a series of ethereal portraits of women and girls interacting with light, both a visual investigation of the playfulness of light on a figure and a symbolic gesture recognising how painting in a community of women brought sparked a new energy in her artistic practice. She is also experimenting with geometry, 3D-space and optical illusion work.
