Mixed media artist My work seeks to blend traditional portraiture with abstract elements, resulting in pieces that are both grounded in reality and infused with a sense of dynamic energy, striving to capture the essence of each individual I portray. My creative process is highly intuitive, with each piece evolving organically as I work. I often begin by layering different materials and textures, using a variety of media such as acrylics, oils, spray paints, charcoal and pastels to build up a rich, multifaceted surface. From there, I use realistic drawing and painting techniques to bring the portrait to life, carefully capturing the subject's features and expressions in a way that feels authentic and true to life. But even as I strive for realism, I am always seeking to push the boundaries of what a portrait can be. I incorporate abstract elements into my work to add depth and complexity, using color, shape, and texture to evoke a sense of mood or emotion. The resulting portraits are not just representations of a physical likeness, but also windows into the inner world of the subject. Through my work, I hope to create a space for contemplation and reflection, inviting viewers to engage with the complex, multi-layered nature of human experience.
