I'm a Palestinian artist currently located in Dearborn, Michigan. Palestine, my homeland, had taught me the significance of making art for the sake of life. I whole heartedly believe that art can be a powerful tool to gather, mobilize, and inspire the community to action. I am a painter and I am also a tatreez (a sacred Palestinian form of embroidery) artist, as well as an illustrator. What inspires me is the connection between people and their community. Stories of resistance and potential for change that often go dismissed are somehow told through artists. I strive to center art around connection with community, those around me, and the connection I have with myself.
