Winged Pine Cone & the Sepents by Doran DaDa in Berkeley

Winged Pine Cone & the Sepents

35.5 X 23.5 inches. The winged pine cone has had a few different representations throughout the centuries, for me this painting represents the liberation of the pineal gland and the opening of the crown chakra. The serpents represent the life force kundalini rising up the spine. In Kemetic occult, it's the Staff of Jehuti (Thoth), the tree of knowledge, the ka kundalini snakes rising up the staff of enlightenment. Also, I use the coded symbols of sacred hieroglyphs to generate the electric charge to ignite the painting and turn it on, similar to Aboriginal dream time paintings.
