A large-scale figurative mixed-media work exploring the construction and fragmentation of identity, this piece presents the female body as both surface and site—layered, inscribed, and contested.
The reclining figure is composed through collage, paint, and relief elements, merging fragments of fashion imagery, text, gesture, and abstraction into a continuous yet unstable form. The body becomes a composite of external projections and internal ruptures—desire, commodification, self-fashioning, and resistance existing simultaneously within the same space.
The central painted field behind the figure introduces a contrasting emotional register: turbulent, atmospheric, and unresolved. It functions as both backdrop and psychological extension, suggesting a tension between interior experience and exterior representation.
Drawing on and responding to the visual language of advertising and mediated femininity, the work questions how identity is constructed, consumed, and performed. Rather than offering resolution, it holds these contradictions in place—seductive, fractured, and intensely present.
Balancing painterly abstraction with sculptural collage, the piece rewards both immediate visual impact and sustained, close engagement. Its horizontal scale makes it particularly suited to prominent wall placement in residential or gallery contexts.

Montreal, CanadaI’m a Montreal and New York-based visual artist working across painting, collage, and sculptural wall pieces. My practice moves between abstraction and figuration, often layering found imagery, drawn elements, and painted structure into surfaces that feel both constructed and alive.
I’ve been working professionally for over twenty years, with projects ranging from private commissions to public art installations. My approach is collaborative—I work closely with clients to develop pieces that respond to a space, a story, or a particular energy they want to live with.
Alongside larger works, I offer smaller commissions, including portrait drawings and custom paintings, as a way of keeping the work immediate and accessible. Whether the project is intimate or architectural, the goal is the same: to make something that holds attention over time.
I’m particularly interested in work that sits between image and object—where painting starts to take on a physical presence, and where materials carry their own history into the final piece.
