Student Housing Mural
I had the wonderful opportunity of painting a mural for Masonic Residence. The theme was “Live, Laugh, Love” and I decided to make a simplistic mural depicting student life with fun elements in it. This one was a special project for me because I came to Australia as an international student and lived on-campus throughout my studies so I could relate to the life students live in student housing settings.
Meet the Artist
Melbourne, AustraliaHi there! My name’s Kajal (she/her) and I’m a South-Asian Artist and Illustrator currently based in Naarm (Melbourne). I love creating art that’s colorful, bold and playful, inspired by my own experiences, feelings, and conversations that spark my creativity. I hope to create work that creates a sense of relatability as well as the urge to learn and unlearn. My art is reflective of the way I choose to express how I visualize the world around myself and my feelings! What I love about creating art is that it’s limitless. There are no rules to art and that you can create whatever you want, however you want and that is truly what the world needs. I’ve been painting ever since I could hold a pencil and paintbrush in my hand. Few years ago I discovered the art of lettering and I’m so glad I did because I’m enjoying the journey of learning something new everyday. Moving forwards, I’d love to bring my art to life and create murals for businesses. The joy of being able to bring a vision to life is incomparable and I’d love to be of help for that!
