Signal Box Project - Prahran by Kajal K in Melbourne

I had the amazing opportunity to paint a signal box (all 4 sides) in Prahran as part of City of Stonnington’s TSB Program. I chose “community” as the underlying theme when designing for this box. When I think of the community here, I think of people walking their dogs with a tote bag on their shoulders. I think of the diverse group of people that shape the culture of the place we live in. I think of urban landscapes and lush greenery. I was paired with a professional artist for the duration of the program who helped me bring my design to life. The materials used for the projects were outdoors paints from Bunnings and paintbrushes along with chalk to sketch the design out prior to painting.
