Onwards Whichwards (2023) portrays a chocolate fairy girl riding on a gigantic white pomeranian puppy with a 'carrot stick' with an octopus chocolate mint ice cream at the end. On the unusually large canine is a stack of donut and ice cream cone, and a tiny calico kitten erecting a pole of carp streamers made from taiyaki (fish-shaped cake with bean paste filling). They are moving forward on a light-tinted multi-coloured cloud cluster with a range of flowers blooming from it. Below the cloud cluster hangs some laces, ribbons, more flowers and a brown puppy residing below a strawberry shortcake. Onwards Whichwards (2023) challenges the modern attitude most competitive adults have; to work with direction with motivation. However, no matter how meticulous one may have planned their life, unprecedented situations cause us to change our course. On the other hand, highly motivated individuals overcome any type of adversities to attain their ultimate goals. Does that mean we too can eventually achieve our version of success by persistently stay on our route and sweep off obstacles along the way? If luck is not on your side and we have to take a longer road, which way do we proceed forward? Or do we backtrack and find alternative methods before proceeding our journey?
