This drawing was completed during work hours at my security job in downtown Oakland. I grew bored of the day in and day out monotony, sitting at a desk all day, wearing a uniform, being the obscure figure on a pool of corporate people. One day I brought my sketchbook in and found a .5 ml. Ballpoint pen laying around at work then decided to draw. The paper is 50 lbs. Bristol.

Oakland, United StatesI'm a mixed media visual artist cultivating a surreal and whimsical style, originally from Stockton CA, now living in Oakland. From a young age I drew inspiration from ballpoint sketches reflecting 1960's Chicano culture sent from my uncle during his incarceration. Having been incarcerated for 17 years myself, I hope to see reform in the criminal justice system and uplift communities as a professional artist.
