I drew this in Emilia-Romagna, Italy as a gift. The little girl was asked by her mother if she wanted her portrait drawn and the little girl without any prompting ran over to the hedge and took up this pose long enough for me to get a quick sketch and a reference photo. She was a delight.
I used Winsor & Newton 170g/m2 80lb A3 cartridge paper and
Tombow Mono 100 pencils with a little
Daler Romney colourless fixative spray.

Southampton, United KingdomI am an experienced pencil portrait artist, i specialise in drawing ordinary people. My usual subjects are family members, loved ones, friends, old wedding photos, animals and pet cats and dogs. Once I even drew a goldfish.
My basic mantra is to do the basics well and let the drawing emerge.
