This was a commission for a mother's birthday. I was provided with a few photos and picked the one I felt strongest about. This portrait was created using watercolour and pencil.
Meet the Artist
England, United KingdomI am an artist based in Walthamstow specialising in Murals. My work is lively and bright and focuses on pattern and colour. I like to transform spaces by covering them in hand painted pattern, mimicking wallpaper. I create my own patterns sometimes from life and sometimes taking inspiration from patterns I see in the background of paintings by artists such as Hockney, Bonnard and Matisse.
