By isolating only my hands at work, I invite viewers to slow down and appreciate the poetry in everyday tasks. Working in oil allowed me to build rich, layered colors—warm reds and muted greens—to evoke both warmth and resilience. The visible brushwork and slight exaggeration of form draw from expressionist traditions, heightening emotional resonance without sacrificing the intimacy of the scene. My hope is that anyone who encounters this painting will feel a moment of calm reflection, reminded that even the simplest actions can carry depth and meaning when we truly pay attention.
