I take the time to understand what my client wants to highlight and celebrate in their artwork—whether it’s the light in someone’s eyes, the effortless flow of their hair, or the way their face lights up when they laugh. These details bring the portrait to life, ensuring that it radiates the personality and warmth of its subject. With reference photos in hand, I begin crafting fluid, inky outlines using my digital drawing tools. I prefer Photoshop, as it allows for greater control over my digital brushstrokes. Once the outline is complete, I share it with my client for feedback, making any requested refinements before adding colour, texture, and intricate patterns. The abstract patterns flowing through the portrait were created using mixed media collage techniques, scanned, and digitally enhanced to produce a rich, painterly wash effect that adds depth and vibrancy. This fusion of hand-crafted textures and digital precision gives my work a distinctive, dynamic feel.
