we hired olha (“olga” pronounced by americans) to draw anime portraits of the kids attending my daughter and her friend’s joint birthday party. i am, admittedly, very particular and hold very high standards about pretty much everything, and my 8 year old daughter is unfortunately the same, so to say olha exceeded both of our expectations is saying a LOT. olha is more than just talented — she commits herself to doing a job well done and to the full satisfaction of her clients; case in point: she spent an entire day watching all of my daughter’s favorite “how to draw anime” videos and then practicing just so she could get down the exact style of anime that the girls prefer, and on the day of the party, arrived an hour early to make sure everything was set up and working perfectly, then worked nonstop without a single break (not even to eat the lunch i brought her or use the bathroom!) until the very last guest who wanted an anime portrait got one, which she put just as much time and effort into as the very first one she did 4 hours earlier! she also goes above and beyond only doing the minimum (it was her idea to lug over and set up a bunch of extra equipment to project what she is drawing so the kids could watch!), and in addition to being the consummate professional, is just a genuinely good, kind soul who, while waiting for the first kid to sign up for a portrait, even offered to help with setting up other parts of the party! i only wish there were more people in the world like olha...and that i had other things i could hire her for! if you are ever in need of an artist to draw or paint anything in any style from a mural to anime portraits, look no further than olha!
