About
Hi! I'm a Brisbane-based visual artist with skills in photography, digital art, graphic design & illustration, and traditional painting. My key interest as an artist is mastering skills, learning tools, and staying true to creative vision and the spirit of Art. My body of work could be described as "an enquiry into the creative spirits sometimes known as Inspiration, Enthusiasm, Beauty, and Truth". I grew up on the edge of traditional and digital - as the internet was rising, digital artforms becoming more accessible, and screen-based media was proliferating - I gripped on to the computer and went for a ride to discover what this realm of artistic pioneering could produce. My outlook is from a place of curiosity, and so I see value in how things have been done and opportunity in how things could be. My aesthetic is wrapped up in this blend - dramatic scenes of natural beauty such as storm clouds or waves crashing or towering mountains blended with seraphic, strange and ethereal figures, or bold graphic shapes and vast spacious galaxies. My work is often colourful and bright, with high-contrasts and well-composed scenes. I tell a story with every concept, and seek to evoke curiosity and enchantment in the viewer. I love developing my own concepts, but working with the visions of others' is a true delight. I'd love to work with you on your commission project!
