About
I am a fine arts painter, illustrator, and mural artist based in Los Angeles, CA. I received my BFA from California Institute of the Arts in Fine Art in 2007, with a focus on painting. I can work with most paint mediums (oil, watercolor, airbrush…) but my medium of choice is acrylic on paper, canvas or walls. I also enjoy drawing, and I always work out ideas in my sketchbook before committing the image/concept to the canvas or wall. I am experienced in producing murals, and I currently have one up at The Smell in downtown Los Angeles with some very colorful and dubious owls. I was also hired as an artist’s assistant to work on the art for the re-opening of the Conga Room at LA Live (also in downtown Los Angeles). This included working on the murals and art that decorates the venue. I enjoy the process of all that work, and I am great at solving the creative problems that come up during any project. I enjoy doing artwork for others since it gives me a chance to expand my art practice and create something that I might not have come up with on my own. I LOVE what I do, and I am focused on making it my career. My personal work is illustrative and colorful, sometimes using all the colors of the rainbow in a single painting. I like to play around with the aesthetic of the hair on my subjects as a representation of the spiritual feminine. When it comes to my personal artwork, I tend to explore the contrast between my unique religious upbringing and my current esoteric beliefs using symbolism, sacred geometry, Jung's concept for archetypes, while also playing with the relationship I have with the spiritual feminine/masculine. Art is certainly my calling in this life. It’s what I was meant to do, and I’ve known it from a very young age. I still have drawings I made when I was 3 years old. I would love to work with you to bring your next project to life!

I do not love jobs where my creativity is restricted and not trusted. I tend to think differently from others and that helps me think/work outside of the box.
