About
Ramana embarked on their artistic odyssey at the tender age of four, beginning with endearing scribbles that hinted at their innate talent. Their prodigious ability came to the forefront during their second year in school, when their science subject drawings were showcased as exemplary, leaving a lasting impression on both peers and teachers. Surrounded by a family of artists, including an inspiring uncle and a grandfather known for his inkpen strokes, Ramana drew inspiration from their artistic lineage. The linework in their art pays homage to their grandfather's enduring influence. Throughout their school and college days, Ramana honed their craft through pencil sketches and furthered their skills under the guidance of a local artist, Powell. This mentorship broadened their artistic horizons, deepening their understanding of shading, proportions, and even watercolors. A detour into the software industry followed their engineering degree, causing a temporary hiatus in Ramana's artistic pursuits. However, their passion for art was reignited in 2018, this time on the digital canvas of an iPad. Ramana finds inspiration in the beauty of everyday life and their childhood memories, often portraying village scenes and the thrill of bike rides. Yoga and Bharatanatyam poses have recently captivated their creative imagination. Preferring the lightweight and versatile Procreate app, Ramana revels in its expansive brush sets and user-friendly interface. They embrace the boundless potential of digital art and cherish its adaptability to individual styles. Formal art education may have eluded Ramana, but their relentless dedication to self-improvement and learning from mentors like Powell has defined their artistic journey. They firmly believe that genuine creativity cannot be taught but must be discovered through personal observation and inspiration. In summary, Ramana is an artist on an unwavering quest for creative growth. Their art evokes nostalgia and joy, capturing the essence of cherished memories. With each stroke, Ramana continues to captivate art enthusiasts, leaving an indelible mark on the world of visual expression.
