I am a Sydney-born, Melbourne-based painter, graphic designer and production designer. On the painting side of things, I specialise in black and white oil paints. I'm drawn to greyscale for its capacity to capture dimension and shape, in a pursuit to spotlight the details in surface texture and the amorphous qualities of negative space. The sparse cleanliness of the greyscale piece can be a lovely touch to the home environment, bringing peaceful shapes to the more colourful and cluttered spaces of our lives. My designs similarly celebrate shape and form, but often with a bright colour palette and sharp contrasts. I enjoy working within the sphere of production design, formulating branding identities for fictional products or entities.
I was educated at the Victorian College of the Arts, completing a bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Screenwriting. I have worked as the production designer on various short films and theatre productions, and have assisted in the art department for high profile clients such as Ruel and Forrest Claudette. My paintings have been exhibited at Brunswick St Gallery as part of the Small Works Prize entrants in 2022, and at Goodspace Gallery for an exhibition curated around the theme "film" in 2022.
