I had bits and pieces of my children art work which I really wanted to compile into an art piece which would make them know their parents are proud of their work. Rahat completely made our dreams come through with her art piece which incorporates all my children’s art work perfectly. She was patient and brought what I wanted together into her art piece . About
I am Rahat Mukhtar residing in Singapore. I am originally from the beautiful Valley of Kashmir which is considered as the heaven on Earth. Art has been my passion since I was very young. In our home town, painting is not considered as a career of choice. I devoted a good portion of my time sketching and painting while I was finishing my school and college. After I came to Singapore, I decided to make my passion for painting as my full time career. Artwork allows the artist to express thoughts in a visual form which words can never express. It allows creativity to be captured on the canvas. As is said, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, different collectors find varied meaning and aim in my works. That is the beauty of art. The subject of Art is a vast ocean, I want to remain a lifetime student and hope to learn from the wonderful artists around the world, requiring me to learn new skill sets, getting me excited to learn more. My paintings are based on Modern, Fine and Contemporary Art using Oil, Acrylic and sometimes Watercolour.
