About
I'm based in Hamilton, New Zealand and make landscape paintings full of light and mood. I believe quality art can be accessible and life enriching, and that it's possible to collect art you love regardless of your budget! I work in a wide range of sizes to suit different spaces and budgets. My paintings display the splendour of our natural world. Capturing the light and mood of a place is my primary motivation, resulting in skies glowing with a sinking sun or water reflecting overcast skies and blue mountains. The places I paint are rarely destinations in their own right; some are local spots that would not be considered scenic, others are views found during hikes or on the side of the road during a drive. The atmospheric conditions can bring a touch of magic to an otherwise ordinary scene, and it is these moments of seeing a landscape transformed that I portray in a painting. After something a bit more specific? Work with me to design a painting of a place that holds special memories for you, or request a work of certain size/colours/theme by ordering a commission artwork.

Pick me for these projects! :-

Working with clients to develop a custom piece that is in line with what I already make. Sunsets, mist, skyscapes, river, lake and beach scenes are what I prefer to make.

I'll sit these ones out :-

Requests for people and animals in the artwork as the main subject. These are fine to add in if they will be a minor part in the landscape.
