Hi, I’m Natalia, a Miami based artist who works in a multitude of mediums and environments. I have been shooting photography, drawing and painting since I was a child but really got into sketching realistic portraits around 2015 at 16 years old! This need to draw faces realistically led me down the path of light and shadow which I quickly fell in love with. So, my passion really, is creating unique works in any medium based on composition, theme and light. I believe that art is a way for us to celebrate life and express our own unique emotions and aesthetics. I tend to lean towards minimalistic styles, pastel colors and muted, nude and earth tones. At 16 I was hired professionally for the first time as a photographer by the founders of Crescent Moon Studios shooting candid portraits and private family events. This job opened me up to the world of photoshop/ lightroom, retouching, editing and quick turnarounds in media, which is extremely rewarding for me to bring to my clients. I am extremely confident in my portrait and candid photography work and get a lot of personal fulfillment out of capturing raw moments.
Even though I love photography I am extremely passionate about portrait drawing and painting, landscapes, rural and urban included. I mainly work with acrylic because I work very fast and since acrylic dries fast I find a lot of freedom in it. My style ranges based on how I feel and what kind of vibe I’m trying to capture, but usually follows the that minimalistic style with pastel colors and muted, nude and earth tones, like my photography.
I love flowers, water, and the human form.
I have also been getting into paper mache, building forms and creating sculptures that I paint on after, which I am in love with and hope to share more work soon.
