I'm a Calgary based artist. As an artist, I specialize in digital painting with Photoshop, although I also explore the rich and traditional medium of oil painting. While my primary focus lies in creating captivating portraits, I find solace and creative release in experimenting with collage and crafting expansive dreamscapes. A firm believer in the inherent beauty of every individual, I approach my work without any particular agenda or political message. Instead, I see myself as a witness, capturing the intricate, chaotic, and delicate nature of humanity as I perceive it. My decision to embrace the digital medium stems from a desire to make commissioned art more accessible. By eliminating the need for drying time, physical paint, and fixed canvas sizes, I can provide cost-effective solutions to my clients. Moreover, the digital realm offers unparalleled scalability, enabling me to effortlessly transform raw digital files into wall-sized masterpieces, sparing clients the expenses associated with scanning or photographic processes. In terms of inspiration, I draw from a diverse range of artists. John Singer Sargent's unceremonious and sumptuous portraits, William Turner's tumultuous landscapes, David Hockney's vibrant and audacious compositions, and the luminous mastery of light and drama displayed by the Baroque painters all have a profound influence on my artistic sensibilities, often leaving me in awe.
