I found Alex on book an artist after absolutely loving his style of murals. Vibrant, lifelike and breathtakingly colourful and beautiful. My mural had a story behind it and after a briefing over the phone my vision was brought to life. Alex drove from Melbourne to my coastal town of Victor Harbor in SA, staying at a local hotel. We had the pleasure of watching our mural become a reality on my home. He was the sweetest young man and so interesting and friendly. It is a honour to have his work adorn our home. It can be seen from the township and from the tourist steam train and has become a talking price of the town.

Alex is well-known for his realism in painting native flora and fauna in conjunction with objects that consider the concepts of time and place. He draws these elements together with a slightly surreal twist, lending to his distinctive style. Having showcased his work through a number of group and solo exhibitions throughout Australia and internationally, Alex Sugar has also completed a number of large-scale commissioned public artworks, and is highly motivated to continue within this domain. Alex is dedicated to creating bold and dynamic murals that not only enhance connection to and engagement with public spaces, but also stand as distinct artworks in themselves.
