My name is Natalia Sattarova, graduated the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts in 2024, specialized in Fine Arts.
The first person who inspired me and still inspires me to keep creating is my father, who unfortunately passed away when I was 2 years old, but he passes to me his talents. In general, the originality of inspiration, the muse comes from pure thoughts, from nature, from our fellow human beings, from love.
As an artist and cultural practitioner, my drive is fueled by a deep passion for self-expression and creativity. I am motivated by the desire to communicate my ideas, emotions, and perspectives through my chosen medium, whether it be visual arts, music, dance, or any other form of artistic expression. I am also driven by the belief that art has the power to inspire, provoke thought, and create meaningful connections between people from different backgrounds, cultures and experiences. Additionally, I am motivated by the desire to contribute to the preservation and evolution of culture, and to use my art as a vehicle for social change and advocacy. Overall, my drive as an artist and cultural practitioner is rooted in a deep-seated commitment to using my creativity to make a positive impact on the world around me.
I come from a multinational, multicultural family and I wanted to present this mixed migration through art. So, most people understand migration as a political-geographical-economic sense, and most people understand identity as a document, but there are several notions and meanings here and I wanted to show these through this triptych work, executed using the false stained-glass technique.
The illumination of the interior through the transparency and dispersion of sunlight of the stained-glass windows, as an element generating the atmosphere of the Divine world (optical effect), gives the space a triumphant appearance.
Stained glass windows have long been considered a mystical form of visual art, reserved for large church buildings.
The Holistic and Metaphysical Concept is based on the fact that man is a being of divine origin and spiritual nature.
Artistic practice extends beyond creating the piece and encompasses reasoning and the formation of the final product. It includes looking at what inspires you, how you operate, and how you develop projects. Partially a process of self-discovery through your art, it is a journey of exploration, and examining themes, influences, and connections within your artwork. This knowledge is needed to help you understand and describe your artistic practice. That is how I developed mine and how I will help you prepare yours.
I am fascinated by connections, spiritual migration, multicultural mixing. In my practice, I use different mediums, different techniques and more interesting when mixt them in one work. I find using the nature, histories (universal, arts, mythology...) to create some monumental arts. I create layers and incorporate symbols that connect to my artworks.
When I begin a project, I write words and sketches in a journal to help describe what I intend to create. Once I've put down some ideas, I search for artists and literature to help me get inspired.
