Kahlilla Rigby is a Torres Strait Islander and she currently resides in Naarm ( Melbourne). Kahlilla has a strong connection to Country that encompasses the reciprocal relationship between ancestral land, spirit and seas. Kahlilla works with various mediums including, acrylic, watercolour, oil paint and more. Her artworks are inspired by visions, stories, ancestral history, and her connection with Country. She endeavours to create a profound emotive relationship between her art and her audience. To evoke deep connection and admiration of Wurundjeri Land and with the diverse plants and animals of Australia.
